What is MyLogin?
MyLogin is a tool that allows for quick, easy and secure access to applications via an easy-to-use dashboard for students.
Log in Methods
MyLogin offers 4 different types of login methods. Your school admin will choose which of these they want you and your students to be able to use and distribute the appropriate credentials to you. Simply click on the type of login method you or your student has been provided. Then present or enter your credentials to access the dashboard.
If you cannot see the method of entry that you expect, please contact your MyLogin admin at school as they can manage this.
Magic Badges:
These are unique to each user, simply hold the magic badge up to the camera to log in.
Emoji passwords:
This is a 6 emoji combination that's unique to each user.
Passwords:
This is a more conventional combination where the user will enter their username and password provided by the school's MyLogin admin.
PIN code:
These are 5-digit codes to only be issued by the school as a failsafe option. Generally, these codes are not given out.
How Does My Child Log In?
Your school should provide you with a unique URL which you can bookmark on your child's browser. If your school's link has not been provided you can simply head to app.mylogin.com and search for the school. Your school will also provide you with your child's password or QR code.
When you enter the web address for MyLogin, you should then be presented with options. Select the relevant option (e.g. Emojis) and enter the password which the school provided.
Issues with logging in?
Your child's school can provide you with an existing or new credential for all methods of authentication. Please speak to your school if you are having issues logging in.
Your child's dashboard
Once logged in, the dashboard should present you with tiles. The shortcuts will be web pages that won't automatically sign your child in, but will provide you with an easy link to an online resource. "All apps" will be applications that when clicked, should sign your child into their account.
Some applications require a Chrome extension to be installed to your web browser, please speak to your MyLogin admins at the school for support with installation.
MyLogin and links to Google or Microsoft.
Your child's school may be using an extra feature of MyLogin whereby the credentials provided can log your child into their Google Workspace and/or Microsoft 365 account. You will know this, when if trying to log into Google or Microsoft applications from home, via your child's email, you will be redirected to the MyLogin screen. This behaviour is expected and the MyLogin credentials provided by your school should be used to sing-in here too.
In the event you are faced with an error when trying to log into Google and Microsoft, please contact your school's MyLogin administrator for support.
